Noah Henry Kabia was diagnosed January 2016 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at the age of 6. After an almost 4 year chemotherapy treatment regimen at Johns Hopkins Hospital, which included multiple hospital admissions and the equivalent of 1.5 years of time missed from school, Noah finished his treatments in April of 2019 at 10 years old.
Noah is a gifted percussionist and has been featured playing the drums locally on Fox 45, WMAR and at community events and local fundraisers. He has had the opportunity to play with musicians such as Rascal Flatts, Israel Houghton & New Breed, Jason Scheff of Chicago and Jonathan McReynolds. Music is what helped him get through his cancer treatments, he was going to “beat cancer like he beat his drums.” Music remains his number one focus as he has branched out to play the both the guitar and piano also. In addition, he has become a skilled producer. He currently attends the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts and last year, went on his first tour with The Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz at age 15.
Noah looks forward to giving back to other kids with cancer through music. He’s most excited about living life fully and pursuing his dream to attend college at the Berklee College of Music and becoming a Music Hall of Famer! “With Cancer, my life was filled with fear, but now I am stronger and living life with hope!”
CCF was fortunate enough to have Noah perform at our CCF Galas, in person in 2019, virtually in 2020, and then in person again in 2021, 2022, and 2024. CCF is thrilled for his return in person to perform for the 41st Annual Gala on November 1, 2025!
